information and instructions in the event of an actual ongoing campus emergency

SIGN-UP FOR MMA-ALERT All MMA students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to sign-up for MMA-ALERT, an emergency email and mobile device notification system that can be use during emergency situations or when timely notification of an event and instructions are critical to safety and well-being. To sign-up, visit mma.edu and click on the registration icon, or go directly to the MMA-ALERT online registration page: http://mma-alert.mma.edu WHAT TO DO IN A REAL EMERGENCY: If you have, or think you may have, information about an active emergency incident at Maine Maritime Academy that may help the college's Security Department or other authorities, please contact MMA Security immediately, 207-326-2479. Nothing is too small or insignificant to rule out as unimportant so please share any information you may have with authorities. Remain vigilant and adhere to all campus policies that are in place to ensure the safety of buildings. Report suspicious behavior, persons, or items immediately. If the occurrence of the incident has affected you personally and you need physical assistance please contact MMA Security. If the incident has affected you emotionally and you need assistance, please contact Maine Maritime Academy’s Counselor, Paul Ferreira, immediately at 207-326-2419 or paul.ferreira@mma.edu. If you need assistance from Mr. Ferreira outside of normal business hours, contact Security who will assist you in reaching him in a timely and confidential manner.
